The Program

Friday 2 June – The ‘Mixed Dozen’ Gala Dinner

The Gala Dinner will be held at the stunning Elements of Byron Resort & Spa, so you can stroll from your room to your table. The meal will be prepared by 12 local chefs including Darren Robertson and Mark Labrooy (Three Blue Ducks), Sean Connelly (Balcony Bar and Oyster Co.) and Ben Devlin (Paper Daisy). Their gastronomic creations will be matched with wines from 12 Australian wineries.

Saturday 3 June – 8.30am – 11.00am: Food Tour to Bangalow

Tawnya Bahr will educate, delight and inspire you with a trip into the hinterland and a guided tour of the weekly Bangalow Farmers’ Market in the quaint village of Bangalow.

Saturday 3 June – 11.00am- 7.00pm: Byron Bay Fine Food & Beverage Festival

Return to Byron Bay Fine Food & Beverage Festival proper, located in the parklands of the beautiful Elements of Byron resort. You’ll enjoy VIP access to the festival, a tote bag for all your foodie goodies, a Plumm wine glass, an opportunity to meet Australia’s top wine and beverage producers as well as food artisans, producers and award winning chefs, an opportunity to attend the complimentary Producers’ and Beverage Masterclasses while you’re entertained with a cool line up of live music throughout the afternoon.

After breakfast at the Elements Of Byron, you’re free to depart at your leisure or why not stay a little longer?

Tawnya Bahr and Lucy Allon of Straight To The Source take you to the provenance of Australia’s finest ingredients and diverse growing regions. They create tours for chefs, hospitality professionals and dedicated foodies, all with the same purpose of cultivating connections and understanding the story behind our food system. Tawnya is a chef and food consultant, Lucy an award-winning restaurateur and hospitality professional; both are well known within the industry and have built a reputation for designing and delivering relevant, exciting and authentic food tours.
