Each year a selection of the region’s best restaurants and markets come together at Sample Food Festival
SAMPLE FOOD FESTIVAL RESTAURANTS AND GUEST CHEFS
We are so proud to showcase some of the most celebrated chefs and restaurants from our region each year at Sample Food Festival who offer tasting plates that reflect their unique menus. Regular restaurant involvement include Raes on Wategos, Harvest, Doma, Vue de Monde, Bang Bang, 100 Mile Table, Shelter, The Balcony, Barrio, No Bones, Yullis and others. The festival attracts about 40% local foodies and 60% who travel from further afield to experience this incredible part of the world. We also run a series of workshops, masterclasses and pop ups with different guest chefs previously including; Belinda Jeffery, Adriano Zumbo, Alex Herbert, James Viles, Joanna Savill, Fast Ed, Ben ODonoghue, Paul West, Simon Thomsen, Shannon Bennett, Matt Moran, Zeb Gilbert and Federico Zanellato. SAMPLE FOOD FESTIVAL MARKETS
Sample Food Festival promotes the vibrancy and diversity of not just the Northern Rivers Food Trail but also features markets to showcase the many talented local artists, designers and creative folk from Byron Bay and beyond. We open applications to market stall holders who sell a range of packaged food products, artisan breads and cheeses, hot and cold beverages, as well as homewares, fashion, gifts and accessories at the festival each year. Market stall applications for Sample Food Festival 2022 are now closed.
